About Me

Hello, my name is Juan D’Amico, and I am an economist with a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo and a master’s degree in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University, both in Canada. I also completed a postgraduate program in Quantitative Finance (QUANT) at UCEMA in Argentina. My main interests lie in macroeconomics, applied time-series analysis, and forecasting, and I have gained valuable professional experience in both the private financial sector and the public sector.

Throughout my academic career, I have taught or assisted with a range of undergraduate courses. At the University of Buenos Aires, I served as a teaching assistant for Statistics I and II. At Wilfrid Laurier University, I assisted with Dynamic Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, and Game Theory. At the University of Waterloo, I taught Statistics and Econometrics II. These experiences allowed me to share my knowledge and passion for economic analysis with students while further developing my teaching and communication skills.

Beyond my academic experience, I spent more than three years working at a private financial institution in Canada. Since 2021, I have served as an economist with the Government of Canada, where I have continued to develop my experience in applied economic analysis within the public sector.
